Thoughtful Blooms in black

The black, white, red, and gold color scheme plus the use of the images and layers gives my handmade card a bit of an Asian feel.  It brings to mind those beautiful silk panel screens you hang on the wall–in fact, we had one in our home growing up which came from my dad's many overseas travels as an army officer.  Although Thoughtful Blooms stamp set (FREE during Sale-a-Bration) can look cute as shown below, I took it in a different direction for dressy and elegant vibe.

I love stamps that have that kind of versatility!

Here are a few things about my quick and easy–but elegant–Thoughtful Blooms card:

  1. EVERYTHING used on this card except the cardstock and circle punches is FREE!  That's right, I used stamps, punch, DSP, and sequins that were all free!  I do love Sale-a-Bration:)
  2. If you flip the DSP over it changes the card ENTIRELY.  It's also lovely, but much more understated.  Watch the video to see!
  3. Use the Take Your Pick tool for the easiest way to place sequins on your handmade cards.  I love using sequins as they are flat and therefore mail easily.  But picking them up with your fingers is for the birds! LOL!  Watch the way I use Take Your Pick on the video demonstration.  This is a tool you MUST HAVE!!!
