Happy Thanksgiving! My blog post today comes via my guest blogger and daughter Tiffany and featuring a handmade Thanksgiving card with a photo.
Hubby & I opted to send out Thanksgiving cards this year & I'm so glad we took the trouble- we've received wonderful feedback, so I think this might become a permanent tradition:) I wanted to create a handmade Thanksgiving card to serve as the vehicle to deliver my super cute Thanksgiving photos.
Since we had professional printed photos vs a digital image to upload into an online template, I hatched a plan to make a "proper" photo card where the picture could be removed, unharmed. I kept these very simple to showcase my "little Ms", and since I used the Stampin' Up! Notecards & Envelopes (#107311), they came together in a snap! And with 20 cards and envelopes for just $5.95, they are extremely affordable.
My secret weapon was the Stampin' Up! Slit Punch (retired now, boo) which enabled me to slot my pics into the card base 'frame' without needing any adhesive.
I used the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes (24 stamps for virtually every occasion! #115370 wood mount and #127802 clear mount) & finished them off with the Basic Rhinestones and an orange Sharpie!
So here is my first stack of handmade Thanksgiving cards, all finished and waiting for a hand written blessing, and yes, I had a few with different cardstock color combinations:)
