Welcome to the June installment of the Trip Achievers Blog Hop where demonstrators across the globe link together with creative inspiration to help you in your creative journey. You are at Candy Rattray, sweetstamper.com and the full list of participants is at the bottom of this post.
For today's share I chose a fun fold card using the gorgeous Texture Chic DSP and dies, but I went with the amazing greeting from Charming Sentiments. "Faith Over Fear" is a perfect greeting in today's world for a card to send to anyone, anywhere! "Faith Over Fear" is an inspirational greeting that encourages us to look up to God rather than the very broken world in which we live.
I designed this card for my Annual Catalog Paper Party this past weekend. I will have details forthwith of my upcoming July-December Paper Party in September. I team up with Karina Chin in Canada with card ideas centered around the amazing new Designer Series Papers.
Here are a few salient points about my Texture Chic fun fold card:
I varied different finishes on the rectangles: straight, scalloped, and stitched. That gives textural interest while keeping a cohesive look.
My gold-embossed greeting ties into the gold foiling in the DSP.
Layering both cardstock and distressed gold foil on the leaves gives more interest.
I made the same card using different patterns of the DSP. Which do you like best?
