Swirly Bird in 2017-2019 In Colors-Saturday Sample

For today's Saturday Sample, I'm sharing this handmade card featuring Swirly Bird and 3 of the 5 new 2017-2019 Stampin' Up! In Colors.

As usual, this is a quick and easy card:)  Plus it's super fun to make because there is lots of stamping!  Quick tip:  place one flower image in the center of the Very Vanilla panel.  That will help you place your other images.  Easy peasy!  I stamped the leaves once and then a second time without re-inking to get the paler leaves.  Lastly, I stamped the Powder Pink flowers on the Very Vanilla panel and then again on some scrap.  I ran the scrap through the Big Shot to cut ou

Sometimes I feel like I get stuck in the rut of having everything line up just so.  I purposely offset my Berry Burst mat on this handmade card to give it a bit more of a jaunty feel.  After all, Swirly Bird stamp set images are more of a modern art style and I didn't want my card to be too "buttoned up"!!!

I chose the fabulous new Wood Words for my greeting.  I like the simply, blocky font as I feel it pairs well with the modern flowers from Swirly Bird.

SwirlybirdstampinupincolorscandyrattrayLast but not least is the cute little 2016-2018 Glitter Acrylic Shape.  I love these!  I freely admit that I had doubts about them when I first saw the catalog.  But they are so glittery and sweet.  I attached with a bit of Fine Tip Glue Pen, and it is now stuck down very strongly:)  Although these are the 2016-2018 In Colors (the one here is Emerald Envy), look how perfectly they blend with our other colors!  Once again, Stampin' Up! coordination of products makes me look like an artist when I'm actually a rank amateur whose stick figures are a bit scary:)

That's it for today.  Thanks so very much for stopping by today.  I love sharing my weekly Saturday Sample with you!  All products used today are listed, shown, and linked for your convenience.  If yo have bot yet purchased the new In Colors, do it now!  You will love them!
