I am loving the new Stampin' Up! 2016-2017 In Colors, and one of the prettiest is Sweet Sugarplum. I created this birthday card for my granddaughter Olivia. She is a girl who loves purple, so I combined Sweet Sugarplum with Rich Razzleberry and Blushing Bride for a very girly birthday card. I love the Number of Years stamp set for the ability to totally customize a birthday card for our loved ones! I took it a step further than the number six. I stamped six mini flowers and added six sequins. These are little touches that make a big difference. I knew that Olivia would pick up on that little, loving detail:) This is one of the great joys of handmade cards: bringing joy and delight to those we love.
I love it when Olivia opens my cards and knows just by the envelope that Gramma made it for her:) Melts my heart! Every party of this birthday card was intentional as I was thinking of Olivia and wanting to make something special for her special day. I added bits of shine as she loves things that are sparkly and pretty and sweet– just like my Olivia!
I hope this inspires you to make something pretty today! And especially to try one of my favorite new color combos: Sweet Sugarplum with Rich Razzleberry. Thanks so much for stopping by. As always, products used are listed and linked below. Just click on any pic for more info and/or easy shopping.
