I created the simple sympathy card, shown in the video above, for my weekly Facebook Live on Thursdays at 4PM CT where I focus on Simple & Stepped Up stamping. (I do run free online classes from time to time and they take over this time slot, pre-empting Simple & Stepped Up Stamping on occasion.)
Ranunculus Romance is a perfect stamp set for beginner card makers. Although there is a set of coordinating dies–which are lovely–you can do a LOT with the stamp set alone. Click here to see another card I made with Ranunculus Romance which incorporates some of the dies. Here are a few things that make my simple sympathy card work:
- There are many stamps in Ranunculus Romance that work perfectly for a collage-type background.
- I made a cardstock ribbon knot which is a perfect thing to do when you don't have ribbon in the color you want! Watch the video above to see how!
- My color scheme is mostly neutral with just a hint of Rich Razzleberry.
