Welcome to my Sunday inspirational post where I bring you projects meant to convey the love of God and be the hands of Jesus Christ to our hurting world. Whether that means something to lift the spirits, inspire the soul, or bring comfort and care–handmade, heartfelt cards can fit the need, and my Stampin' Up! supplies will help you get there. Today, I have an inspirational card that does double duty as a gift!
Suite Seasons is a versatile all-text stamp set in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog, and it's on sale right now! The inspirational card packet I've made here showcases one of my favorite sentiments in the set: Sending You Thoughts of Comfort. That is such a versatile sentiment covering the ground of sympathy and caring in a beautiful way. Whether someone is going through a rough time emotionally, facing a scary diagnosis, or suffering loss, my caring card will bring warmth and comfort–literally! Inside is a glassine bag with a packet of chicken noodle soup:) You know–those little cup a soup packets!
This is a standard 11 x 4-1/4 card–turned upside down to form a pocket. Decorate the outside as you wish, fill your glassine bag with an item of choice, and close with a snazzy gold binder clip. That's it. Quick and easy–with a lot of care and comfort all packaged up for someone who needs a lift:)
This card uses one of my favorite color pairs for the new In Colors–Sweet Sugarplum with Rich Razzleberry. I love those two together! I thought that a bit of the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper added the perfect touch of sparkle and shine meant to bring some cheer with all that comfort and caring, plus a little bit of Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon and a gold heart from the Metallic Enamel Shapes to finish things off. That gold heart also ties into my gold binder clip, and I like to have purpose in every single details of my projects. To mail this little care package, simply fold the binder clip down and slip into the envelope. You would need an extra ounce stamp since you are sending chicken noodle soup:)
This also makes a great little hospital gift or nursing home gift. Many times, plants and flowers are not welcome in hospitals these days due to respiratory ailments and allergies. This little packet passes hospital muster! It would also make a very welcome gift for family members who are at the hospital keeping watch while their loved one is receiving medical treatment. Those can be harrowing times, and a thoughtful little gift and some chicken noodle soup can go a long way in delivering a bit of comfort and cheer.
Don't delay in getting Suite Seasons! It's on sale in the year-end closeout sale. Only while supplies last.
