Stampin’ Up! Gift Boxes, You’re So Sweet Stamp Set

I'm still on a roll with the You're So Sweet stamp set, and today I'm sharing with you some Stampin' Up! gift boxes that I made for my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator team members attending Inspire Create Share 2015 (Stampin' Up! Convention) in Salt Lake City this week.  I was so pleased with the way they turned out and they are quick and easy to make–just my style!  The only stamping on this project is with the You're So Sweet stamp set.  Everything else is punches, and stenciling, and Designer Series Paper.

I used the Extra Large Gift Boxes, now retired and in the Clearance Rack for an incredible price of 3 for $1.59–and they are food safe!  I had these left from the last catalog, but I'm grabbing some now while I can for easy gift giving at Christmas. At just over $.50 each, they are a steal!  I must say, the Stampin' Up! gift boxes are great value even at regular price, and the quality is impressive.  They are sturdy yet easy to work with and food safe.  So I can easily package small items as well as homemade treats.  I love that versatility!  And of course, you can stamp on them!

You're So Sweet

My background for this photo is the carpet in my hotel room!  Thankfully, it color coordinates perfectly:)  These Stampin' Up! Gift Boxes are very roomy.  I think you could even put a T-shirt in here as long as it was a thinner one–not that super thick cotton.  Anyway, I packed mine with what I consider "hotel room essentials."  What is that?  Well, here's my list:

  • fuzzy socks–who wants to put their bare feet on that carpet that has had thousands of bare feet on it!
  • nuts–healthy protein snacks
  • peach tea water flavor packets–a bit of Texas to make us feel at home
  • chapstick–dry air in Salt Lake City makes us really feel chapped
  • dark hot chocolate packets–for that late night drink
  • pink mini calculators–easy to find in your purse and essential to add up our Holiday Catalog preorders!

What was nifty about this whole operation is that the Stampin' Up! gift boxes come in a flat pack, so they packed in my suitcase easily.  I had all my punched shapes in an empty embellishments container.  And I had a small half size wood mount case filled with paper snips (packed in my check bag, not my carry on so I could get through security with no problems), SNAIL, a few glue dots, and dimensionals.  And I also had my DSP cut into 1-1/4" strips along with a sponge dauber, my polka dot mask, and a Soft Suede Stampin' Spot (you get those in Paper Pumpkin Kits and they are perfect for traveling with your crafts!  I took a partial sheet of Hello Honey card stock that I had stamped my "for you" on 6 times and just cut those with my snips once I was ready to assemble in my room.  All that took up very little space in my suitcase.  Now all the goodies took up lots of space, but that gave me room to bring home stamping goodies from Convention!  Easy peasy, but lots of pizzazz.  Just took a little advance planning.

Okay, so here are the products used.  Simply click on any of the pics and you will be transported to my online store where you can see the details of the product.  And be sure to grab some of those Extra Large Gift Boxes as they are only available while supplies last–at this incredibly low price and the gift-giving season just a few months away, you will be glad you are prepared!

Thanks so much for stopping by:)  Blessings,

Candy Rattray
