There's a lot to love in the new Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog, and one of my faves is Southern Serenade rubberstamp set. I was drawn to it quickly because:
- It's one of the rubberstamp sets that was featured in a live demonstration at OnStage in Salt Lake City in November. I was immediately drawn to its many, many possibilities with techniques and different looks with its flower and lace images. Add to that the greetings for Thank You, Birthday, and Friend in a lovely font, and you have a winning rubberstamp set!
- The name! My team is the Southern Sweet Stampers, so the name caught my attention:)
I was anxious to get some ink on this new rubberstamp set, and I was participating in a mail-in swap where I needed to make 13 of a single card. Do you have one of those little "treasure boxes" with die cuts left over from previous design sessions??!!! They make great "writing prompts" for creating great projects and had quite a few white ovals left over from a previous design that didn't come together the way I had hoped:):) So the oval was my starting point.
I have loved the In Color Combo Chart (please click here to download and print). I have it hanging in my Studio and use it constantly. I had used this color combination previously and love it:
- Fresh Fig
- Blushing Bride
- Pear Pizzazz
- Cherry Cobbler
I would never have put these colors together, but I think they make a very rich color scheme. Click here to see a Christmas card I made with the same color scheme.
The little details that bring finishing touches are both in the Occasions Catalog:
- Love Mini Tinsel Trim (you get a roll of Blushing Bride and a roll of Gold tinsel!)
- Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Marker allows me to alter my basic pearls and turn them into Cherry Cobbler Pearls!
All the Stampin' Up! supplies are listed and linked below for your convenience. If you don't yet have your own personal copy of the Occasions Catalog, please email me and I'll get one into your hands. There are so many creative possibilities, inspirations, and new products you don't want to miss!
Yes, that is a great color combination. Love the card!
Thanks so much, Diane!
