#simplestamping with Prized Peony

simplestamping is what I tackle every Thursday @ 2PM CT on Facebook Live.  Stamps, ink, and paper are the backbone of what we do as paper crafters, and I love showing how easy it is to start making your own handmade cards and the challenge of doing something lovely with just a few supplies.  Although #simplestamping helps beginner card makers, it is also the formula for quick and easy cards which I always love.

I wanted to feature Prized Peony for this week's #simplestamping session.  It's a great all-occasion stamp set with versatile greetings and gorgeous flowers.  It debuted in the 2020 annual Stampin' Up! catalog as part of a beautiful suite with very soft colors.  I took Prized Peony in a totally different direction and went bold with Magenta Madness.

My first card uses this month's #simplestamping from Stampin' Up:  stamps, ink, paper + a punch.  That tiny dragonfly was the perfect little touch!  For my second card I stepped it up with another layer (and color) of cardstock, ribbon, and a single pearl.  Those little extras acted to soften my bold design making it softer and more feminine.

Tell me–which one do you like best:  Simple or Stepped Up!

Be sure to like my facebook.com/sweetstamper page so you can catch me live every week on Tuesday for Teach Me Tuesday and Thursday for Simple & Stepped Up–both are at 2PM CT.
