Rustic Crate is the featured stamp set for my monthly Twist Club in November, and I love showing versatility of the stamps I choose.  Enter the #simplestamping challenge from Stampin' Up! for November which is:

• stamps
• ink
• paper
• punch

I wanted to take both the flower stamp and one of the greetings and use them in totally different ways than the EIGHT designs I created for Twist Club.  I love creative challenges, and this one was super fun!

Let me share a few points and tips about my #simplestamping cards:

• Calm & Quiet is a LOVELY stamp set you can get for free with host rewards!  The artwork is exquisite and reminds me of pen & ink drawings.
• I created the rounded edges on the greeting (first card) by threading my cardstock strip into my Oval Punch
• The "twine knots" you see on the Christmas card are actually thin strips of cardstock!  Watch the video to see how I make these little paper knots:)  

#simplestamping is perfect for beginner card makers but is also a super way to get back to the basics.  Personally, I am a huge fan of actually stamping.  Yes, I enjoy the dies and punches and all the extras.  But there is absolute magic in stamps, ink, and paper!
