Serene Garden Stamp Set and the New Leaf Ribbon

serenegardenstampsetstampinupcandyrattrayAs I get back into regular blogging after a few weeks off with New Catalog Fever and tons of behind-the-scenes work, I'm happy to share one of my creations for my New Catalog Training Event (for my team members) and New Catalog Stamp Camp (for my customers).  My aim was to showcase new stamp sets, and this card featuring Serene Garden hits the mark.

There are some FABULOUS coordinating framelits with Serene Garden stamp set.  (You can get both the stamps and framelits as a bundle which saves you 10%:) But I am happy to share and show you that the stamp set itself can stand alone as well.  I love versatility, and I endeavored to show that with this handmade card.

I also wanted to showcase as many of the new colors as possible.  With the Color Revamp this year, we have many new core colors–in addition to some scrumptious new In Colors.  Today's handmade card uses all new colors.  Okay, that's enough of my thought process.  Here are a few features of today's card:

  • Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather are new core colors and counterparts of one another.  Pair them with great success every time!
  • Leaf Ribbon!  This is really gorgeous specialty ribbon.  We normally tie ribbons or knot them.  With Leaf Ribbon, simply lay it down and anchor with Mini Glue Dots for some great, touchable texture as well as brilliant color.
  • Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins are my absolute favorite New Catalog Embellishment!  They come in several basic colors, and I used the iridescent ones as they pick up the purples and greens in this card beautifully!  The adhesive on the back makes them super quick and easy to use–with a firm hold.  Thank you, Stampin' Up!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  All Stampin' Up! supplies are listed and linked to my online store below for your convenience.  Just click to see more and shop!
