Traditional scrapbookers, take note–Stampin' Up! has released some 12 x 12 card stock packs with just a few colors. That is a delight for traditional scrapbooking! I used Falling in Love card stock pack for these 12 x 12 scrapbook pages as well as So In Love Bundle for these very feminine pages for my stamp club in San Antonio. It has 21 sheets–3 each–of Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride, and Pool Party. Those are all GREAT backgrounds for 12 x 12 scrapbook pages. I chose to use Sahara Sand (a cool beige) and Blushing Bride (a warm pink) for these very feminine "so pretty" pages, taking my que from the gorgeous and coordinating Falling in Love DSP.
The DSP has photo-realistic images. That means actual photos were used to create soft lace, bokeh, and fabric images mixed with digital imaging. The result is spectacular IMHO! The other elements in the suite of coordinating products–So in Love Bundle, Lace Doilies and Falling In Love Embellishments make this layout come together in a snap. If you follow my blog at all, you know I like repeating images. I thought Delicate Details stamp set (free Sale-a-Bration choice) worked perfectly with the lace image from Falling in Love DSP.
The couple of things I did to really pull these scrapbook pages together and make them extra special was to sponge the letters–causing them to really stand out even though their tone on tone color is a subtle look–and to incorporate just a hint of shine with Copper Foil Sheets. By slipping just a tiny strip of Copper Foil Sheet underneath the Very Vanilla Lace trim and a tiny punched flower underneath the Falling in Love Embellishment, I was able to continue my soft, subtle look but still bring in a hint of another complementary color and shine that doesn't overpower.
These 12 x 12 pages with my "so pretty" theme are versatile and have wide use regarding photo choices. I can perfectly use these pages for pics of my granddaughters, daughter, and/or daughters-in-law. I'm thinking a collage of my "family girls" is how I will use them. But you could also use this for wedding photos, a sweet 16 layout, new baby girl photos, and more. What do you think???
