For today's Saturday Sample, here's a handmade card I previously made using For the Birds rubberstamp set (#126405 wood, #126407 clear) but changed up a bit, adding some more feminine touches. I simply love the new Tea Lace Paper Doilies (#129399) in the Stampin Up! Spring Catalog! Whether you add just a bit of one like I did here or use a whole one, they add a bit of femininity. It's that touch of lace! On top of that, you can sponge them to add color (check out my Sunday Inspirational Post here tomorrow to see a thoroughly sponged and antiqued Tea Lace Paper Doily), add some glitter (also in tomorrow's post:), and just change their look completely from modern to vintage, from sweet to sophisticated.
The other little details that brought a bit of femininity to my bold color scheme is the addition of the smallest button in the Brights Collection Designer Buttons. You get several sizes and shapes of buttons in each color when you get these buttons, and I love that because different buttons will bring a different look to your project.
This is one of the cards we made in my February Private Card Classes. Email me today to book your class where you and your friends gather for creative fun and walk out the door with 6 beautiful handmade cards. It's fun, it's affordable, it's creative, and it's relaxing:)
For the Birds rubberstamp set is a super-versatile set, and I've provided a photo below so you can see it in all its cuteness! And there is also a photo of the Tea Lace Paper Doilies so you can see how they look in the package (24 doilies for just $2.95!).
