I featured this Pleasant Pheasants fall card on my Tuesday's @ 2 Facebook Live this week. If you missed it, you can catch that quick video tutorial here. I knew when I saw these peasants in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog that they would make for fun crafting and gorgeous cards. I previously shared another Pleasant Pheasants card–watercolored with Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pens–here on my blog.
For today's share, I did a simple heat embossing of the entire pheasants image. The artwork in Pleasant Pheasants rubberstamp set is outstanding with excellent detail. It lends itself very nicely to heat embossing. My favorite for heat embossing is copper, and I love to pair copper with pinks and purples. Here, I added Blackberry Bliss and Tranquil tide, keying into the natural colors found in some varieties of pheasants and much of nature during the autumn season.
I have a free tutorial here you can download for making my Pleasant Pheasants Fall Card with Copper Embossing. It's actually a quick and easy card, but there is plenty of wow to make this a stunner! Swap out the greeting, and you have yourself a great masculine birthday or congratulations card.
That's it for today. Thanks so much for stopping by. I urge you to head over to my facebook.com/sweetstamper page and like it so you can see my free weekly Tuesday's @ 2 Facebook Lives. They happen every Tuesday at 2PM CDT. I hope to see you there!
