Last week was Halloween Week, a full week (M-F) of Facebook Lives featuring Halloween projects. It was great fun, and I offered all 5 days of pdf tutorials to my Email News subscribers for free:). If you are not yet a subscriber, click here: http://bit.ly/sweetstampernews and then email me for the tutorials link.
I designed the ghost popping out of the jack-o-lantern card above and endeavored to create all the feels of fall:
- Woodgrain Designer Paper background (Country Woods, #163393) has a warm feel–like a campfire on a cool night:)
- Threads from Polka Dot Trim (#163464) are very similar to burlap, a bit like one would use to make a scarecrow
- Buffalo check ribbon–perfect for fall!
- Many shades of orange–the official color of Halloween and all things Pumpkin Season
- Basic Black Cardstock was embossed with Exposed Brick Embossing Folder to give touchable texture that is anything but smooth:)
So many little touches combine to deliver a warm, homey feel. And the ghost is adorable–I love the artwork in Playful Ghosts stamp set. Playful Ghosts (#164366) is an Online Exclusive, so be sure to get it before it sells out.
