I have another quick and easy Christmas card for you today. I don't know about you, but I'm real traditionalist when it comes to Christmas. Although I love EVERYTHING about Christmas, I am most inspired and drawn by traditional Christmas. I love the blues and silvers, the golds, natural hues, and even purples–but I always come back to red and green.
I created this quick and easy Christmas card to share at Sip & Stamp, my monthly free event. It seemed fitting to share a free stamp set at a free stamp class:)
This traditional Christmas card comes together very quickly. I stamped the "season" in Real Red in the lower right corner of my Very Vanilla panel. Then I went back with the "tis the season" stamp with Garden Green ink to complete the saying and also outline the word season. I left just enough room to stamp the pine bough image as well. Then it was just a matter of assembling the other elements. Quick and easy!
Notice that I made a micro layer in Cherry Cobbler to mat the Very Vanilla panel. Cherry Cobbler and Real Red work very well together. I like to use both as they add depth and keep designs from being too much of the same thing. Several shades of the same color are pleasing to the eye.
That's it for today. Come back tomorrow for more Merry Patterns inspiration.
And please join us for free stamping fun at my next Sip & Stamp on Thursday, October 12th. Sip & Stamp happens every 2nd Thursday, 1-2 PM. There is a group of "regulars" as well as those who pop in once in a while,h and newcomers. There is room for you! We chatter while we stamp:) My granddaughter Olivia is 7 and joined us this month–which was a real treat for all of us! She made this very card! Full info and rsvp are here–just click.
Really enjoyed making this card! Thank you Candy
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Peggy! It’s a fun card to make:)
