Mermaid Card

I have a super quick and easy mermaid card for you today using several retiring products:

  • Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock (2016-2018 In Colors)
  • Dapper Denim Card Stock (2016-2018 In Colors)
  • Myths & Magic Designer Series Paper
  • Confetti Celebrations rubberstamp set

This is the mermaid birthday invitation I made for my granddaughter Olivia's 8th birthday party.  The mermaids in the Myths & Magic DSP are beautiful and shiny since it's a specialty DSP.  No stamping  is necessary for the lovely mermaids, so it's a quick card with plenty of nice, extra features.  The mermaid body is shimmery and shiny and even has a bit of texture.

I created a word doc with all the party info, printed it, and then adhered that to the inside of the mermaid card.  To convert it to a birthday card, simply stamp a Happy Birthday greeting inside. You are sure to bring delight to any young girl!

My original mermaid card design starts with a Fresh Fig card base since that is one of the colors in Myths & Magic DSP.  Although Fresh Fig is a lovely deep purple, I felt the card was too dark for a bunch of 8 year olds.  Sweet Sugarplum Card Stock to the rescue!  This light purple is the perfect color for young girls.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  All Stampin' Up! supplies are listed and linked to my online store below for your convenience.

As we are in the Retiring List period (until May 31), product availability is limited as retiring items are “as supplies last”. Shop today to avoid disappointment!  Use this host code ZRNYQQHW to receive a thank you note and goodies from me in the mail:)
