Today I'm sharing a Stampin' Up! washi tape card. Like many people, I love washi tape! But many of us tend to hoard it vs. using it. Just sayin'… I've heard this from MANY of my stamping friends:) I love sharing quick and easy cards with you, and Stampin' Up! washi tape is definitely something to put lots of pizzazz into your projects in mere seconds. And I have purposely said "Stampin' Up! washi tape" because not all washi tape is created equal. Let me explain.
You can get washi tape at the dollar stores and in the clearance bin at various big box stores. Much of that is hard to work with–it doesn't tear easily, the colors are really challenging to work with, it's super thin, and there is very little tape on the roll. You do get what you pay for–most of the time. Stampin' Up! washi tape is thick enough to actually cover what you place it on, it tears easily so it's easy to work with, you can actually lift and reposition it for a short while after initially placing it on card stock (after that it forms a permanent bond), and it is sold in sets so that you have easy matching and coordination. Of course, easy coordination is one of the things we love most about Stampin' Up! I don't have to earn a degree in art (I honestly can't even draw a good stick figure) to make really great looking craft projects in mere minutes. For this quick and easy girl, that is the only way to go!
This features the Affectionately Yours Suite. And that features some of the 2015-2017 In Colors, namely Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush. I love the way the Night of Navy acts as a neutral with these bright, vibrant colors for a beautiful palette.
This card involves a little stamping, a little punching, a little washi tape and voila! You have a pretty card in just minutes that you can be proud to send or give as a gift. When I first began stamping I discovered that people love to receive a little stack of our handmade cards. Tie them up with pretty ribbon or make a box for them, and you have a very affordable, unique gift that people just love! Our only challenge: getting them to send the cards once they receive them! They oftentimes think they are too pretty to send. I assure them that I will give them a handmade card gift again, so they can enjoy sending their cards and blessing the special people in their lives:)
Thanks so much for stopping by today. All the supplies are listed and linked below for your convenience.
