Beautiful Ride-Stampin’ Up!

My kids were HUGE Love Bug (Herbie) fans growing up.  Those fun Dean Jones movies are classics and still make us laugh out loud when we watch them.  They are part of our family history:)  Mn addition, my parents had a VW bug when I was growing up in the 60s, my husband drove a VW bug in high school in the 70s, , and then my daughter had a red VW bug when she was in college.  So the Stampin' Up! Beautiful Ride stamp set was a natural pick from the Occasions Catalog.

Beautiful Ride-Stampin' Up!

Although I made this card, it's not my design.  My very talented assistant and fellow team member Susan Gomez is the designer.  Several of my team members got together and hosted a shoe box swap for me!  I didn't bring any projects–just my tool kit and a big smile:) What's a Shoe Box Swap?  It's where demonstrators gather and put everything they need to make a project in a shoe box (or similar container) all prepped and ready for action.  Then we get together and make the projects.  It's super fun and a great way to share creativity and one another's company.  That's what we love about stamping!

The rubberstamping technique you see on my Love Bug is called "paper piecing".  You simply stamp an image onto card stock or DSP and then cut around it (affectionately known as "fussy cutting"!!!).  It's a great way to get a really unique look.  The hearts design in the Have a Cuppa DSP was perfect for the Love Bug vibe on this card.

Okay, you know the drill–what are the Stampin' Up! Retiring List items in my card?  I spy with my little eye:

  1. Beautiful Ride stamp set
  2. Have a Cuppa DSP stack (already sold out!)
  3. Washi Label Punch (already sold out!)

So if this rubberstamp set moves you, go and get it today!  Remember that Stampin' Up! Retiring List items are while supplies last (stamps are guaranteed until May 20th).  Once they are gone, they are gone forever!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I love sharing stamping with you!
