Although the original slogan (created by the British during WWII in case they were invaded by Germany) was "Keep Calm and Carry On," in the world of stamping we coined the phrase "Keep Calm and Stamp On." I love this Carry On rubberstamp set, a Stampin' Up! hostess set. Our hostess sets are gorgeous rubberstamp sets that can only be purchased when you host a Stampin' Up! event (private card class, party, or even by placing your own order of $150 or more), using your hostess dollars–free money you earn for hosting. You can use your hostess dollars on absolutely anything in current Stampin' Up! catalogs, but I must say that our hostess sets are real treasures:)
I wanted to recognize some of my Southern Sweet Stampers team members for taking the time and money to attend the recent Stampin' Up! Regional event in Dallas, TX. They all came home very excited about rubberstamping, crafting, and their own businesses! They loved every minute of it, came home brimming with free products, awesome projects, cameras and brains full of ideas, and even made some new friends! But they did invest some of their own time and money to make that happen. I felt that deserved some recognition. So I made them each a handmade card and mailed it to them. And I felt that the "Keep Calm and Stamp On" message was perfect!
Creating handmade cards and scrapbook pages with rubberstamping is truly relaxing. So when you need to keep calm (or get calm!), stamp on! When I first began stamping (and was not yet a Stampin' Up! demonstrator), I was working in a stressful environment. I discovered that if I came home from work, stamped for about 45 minutes (sometimes, I stamped hard!), I was able to leave the stress of my workday behind and enjoy dinner and the evening with my family in a better place emotionally. I invite you to try this practice: keep calm and stamp on!
