Each Thursday I do a Facebook Live demonstration (at facebook.com/sweetstamper) featuring #simplestamping. Today I debuted the new Island Vibes (distinktive Sale-a-Bration stamp set free with a $50 order thru Feb. 28). At first glance, Island Vibes didn't "call out" to me. I chose to work with it today because it was my least favorite Sale-a-Bration stamp set. After working with it, I love it!
I employed the "kissing technique" to bring several shades of green to my already beautifully detailed tropical leaves. THIS is what makes my #simpletamping card work so well. With just stamps, ink, and paper, I achieved beautiful color and detail that is interesting. It's a perfect beginner card for new card makers.
My #simplestamping card is perfect as a #masculine card. In fact, one of my team members was on the live demonstration with me and commented how much she is always needing masculine cards for her local VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) auxiliary. Guys need encouragement, and what an awesome way to share a simple card– that is obviously handmade–with a few kind words written inside.
The note card size is perfect to write a short note and super affordable. You get 20 pre-scored cards and envelopes in a package for just $7.00. That is an amazing bargain. If you plan to mail the cards, they go for a single forever stamp in the U.S. The finished size is 5" x 3-1/2"
To step up my #simplestamping card, I made it traditional card size (5-1/2" x 4-1/4" finished size made from a 1/2 sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock) in the very bold and bright Magenta Madness In Color. I then used a 5-1/4" x 4" Basic White cardstock panel for stamping the leaves, once again using the "kissing technique". Adding a super ornate tag of Basic White cardstock looks almost like eyelet lace but still keeps the look very "clean". The finishing touch–the brand new faux sea glass shapes. I love them! You get a lot of them (they are tiny so you need to use a few for a nice effect:) in Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam, and Clear. I'm going to love using them, and recommend you put them on you next order.
