Welcome to this month's Trip Achiever's Blog Hop–I'm so glad to share with my fellow achievers from across the globe to create, inspire, and share! Last week, I had so much fun making these CUTE gift bags on my Facebook Live. My aim was to take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. 1.Take an ordinary craft bag and make it extraordinary with cute, simple paper crafting! 2. Take an ordinary gift and make it special through cute packaging!
These bags are super quick to make and very affordable. But they look like fancy designer bags! Here are some quick details for make your own gift bags:
- I used two pieces of the Flowers & Fields DSP (free through the end of February through Sale-a-Bration promotion–http://bit.ly/candysshop). I had small Kraft bags, purchased from Amazon. However, these bags are available at most of the dollar stores, too. Measure your bag and then cut accordingly. I used two 7-1/4" x 5" pieces of DSP so the front and back of the bag are cute:)
- I started with a super simple bag and then stepped it up. For the simpler bag, I used a cardstock scrap to add a birthday greeting. Just use the supplies you have to dress up your bags. I grabbed some die-cuts from my little grab bag of leftovers for my stepped up version as well as my embellishments stash.
- I took the advice of my listeners on Facebook Live–which I regularly do. It's live virtual designing and great fun!
I do Simple & Stepped Up stamping every Thursday @ 2PM CT facebook.com/sweetstamper. Be sure to like my Facebook page and then set notification so you get reminders of when I go live twice each week.
