Hearts of Elegance bundle and coordinating Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper form most of the Hearts of Elegance Suite, a November Online Exclusives Release. They were perfect for a Valentine card feature at my last Saturday Card Class in San Antonio for 2024 (December 21).
Here are a few things that make this card work:
- Marbled Elegance designer paper is drop dead gorgeous! I love the artsy patterns with lots of gold flecks and the look of paint swirling, but I equally love the “b side” as it provides me with some great, subtle backgrounds which are mostly mono-chromatic. Put them together for a great combo!
- I wanted to bring out the touches of gold in the designer paper, so I used Wild Wheat (2023-2025 In Color) as a sort of matte gold color. It makes a really nice accent of gold color without the metallic shine that is already present in my design.
- I love mixing Real Red and Cherry Cobbler which are both present in Marbled Elegance DSP. Cherry Cobbler & Gold Satin 1/4″ Ribbon debuted in the Holiday Catalog and is carrying over. That means it will continue to be available in the Online Store (shopwithcandy.com), and I think it works fabulously with Marbled Elegance DSP!
