Heartfelt Hexagon Sympathy Card

Today’s share is one of five cards at my December Saturday Card Class. We make 5 all-occasion cards, and I like to include a sympathy card several times each year. As much as we don’t want to need them, we do:( I have strong thoughts about the incredibly kind gesture of handmade sympathy cards. When family and friends have gone home and the flowers have faded, our handmade sympathy cards remain. They are some of my favorites to make because they convey our love and care in a profound way.

Here are a few things about my Heartfelt Hexagon card design:

  • Heartfelt Hexagon is an incredibly versatile stamp set and is heavily discounted in the Last Chance List. Originally $20, it’s a must-have bargain for $8–while supplies last!
  • Because there are multiple greetings in the set, my stampers could switch out the greeting if they didn’t need a sympathy card. This is one of the things I offer at Saturday Card Class–the ability to customize the class cards to your needs.
  • Another element of this card is the versatility of Countryside Inn DSP. Both sides of the paper worked equally well, and I loved seeing how my card class guests mixed and matched according to their taste!
  • All those blues are perfect for a sympathy card as they are not too bright but not too somber. The card base is Boho Blue (2023-2025 In Color) which will retire in April 2025. It’s one of my favorite blues–make sure you stock up now while it’s readily available.

All Stampin’ Up! supplies are listed and linked below for your convenience. Please consider joining me at my next Saturday Card Class in San Antonio on January 25. Register here: https://tinyurl.com/2vna5psw
