Painted with Love Designer Series Paper is seriously gorgeous!
I am totally in love with it–no pun intended:) I created this simple card, showcasing Painted with Love DSP, with Heart Happiness stamp set. And I did add a greeting (which I later discovered is retired! Somehow, that little retired stamp found its way into another current stamp case! LOL) that indicates hugs and kisses. My intention was to create a card with a love theme that could go beyond Valentines Day. What do you think? Did I succeed?
There are several elements that definitely go into the traditional Valentines Day category, but I added a modern spin:
- Color Scheme: Red and Pink and White are definitely traditional Valentines colors. By using Flirty Flamingo and Powder Pink, two In Colors, it takes my handmade card out of the traditional mold and brings a freshness to it.
- Hearts: One big one! It's hard to have a Valentine card without hearts. But the shape of this heart is a bit more modern with its voluptuous curves and tiny polka dots.
- Doily: As a child of the 60's, I can tell you that doilies are very traditional at Valentine's Day! Here, I laid it against the artsy Painted with Love Designer Series Paper with its gorgeous swaths of color and streaks of gold for a modern, fresh look.
