Grace’s Garden Sympathy Card

gracesgardensympathycardstampinupcandyrattrayI demonstrated (and actually created it for the first time!) this card on my weekly Facebook Live, Tuesday @ 2 this week.  I had a few things in my head as I had just been using Grace's Garden on another card (click here to see it).  Then I took the colors for the Global Design Project#257 here: :Highland Heather, Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight.  This color combo made me think of a peaceful, ethereal, heavenly scene, perfect for a sympathy card.

Let me highlight just a few things about my Grace's Garden sympathy card:

  1. Vellum Cardstock is perfect for giving a soft look.It was just the right touch for my sympathy sentiment as it gave the words presence without overpowering the gate and garden images.
  2. The gate image is really lovely for a sympathy card signifying the barrier between two realms–heaven and earth.
  3. Although I normally eschew anything blingy on a sympathy card, Blue Adhesive Backed Gems are soft, lovely, and have just enough shine and iridescent look to capture the image of heaven.
