This darling Halloween card is a swap I received recently and is made by Gail Beezely, my stamp camp partner (stampcamping.com). The beautiful stamp is enhanced by some Spice Cake DSP, a little dry embossing with the new Houndstooth Embossing Folder, some Regals Collection Brads, and an amazing job of Paper Piecing. What is Paper Piecing? It's a technique whereby you stamp an image on paper, in this case some Brights Collection DSP (the polka dotted pattern) and then cut it out and stick it to the place where you already stamped the image. It's a bit like applique…but with paper. You will know applique if you have done sewing or if you are just a fan of that look. Anyway, Gail stamped the image on Vanilla Card Stock and punched it out, then stamped it again on the polka dotted paper. She cut out the collection of pumpkins on the polka dotted paper and adhered them to the punched out image. Pretty cool, huh? Click on the card photo to get a closer look.
