I shared the Faux Linen Technique in my weekly Tuesday@2 Facebook Live video this week. I always give the free pdf tutorial here on my blog the next day–or a few days later:) For today's handmade card I used Let It Ride stamp set. I love this set with its beautiful artwork and unique greetings. It's super versatile working really well for kids, men, and women.
Here are a few points about my handmade card using faux linen technique:
- I used a warm color palette throughout for a cohesive look that showcases the horse image and faux linen technique: Terracotta Tile and Crumb Cake with just a touch of Old Olive.
- Terracotta Tile Scalloped Linen Ribbon and gold Metallic Pearls are the perfect embellishments: linen ribbon mimics the faux linen technique and gold pearls mimic horse tack.
- When stamping directly on Designer Series Paper, you often need to stamp several times to get a strong image. I used my Stamparatus to stamp the greeting several times for a crisp, clear look.
