As I shared in my last post, I'm a little addicted (unashamedly so!) to the Foxy Friends Bundle. So I thought to share one of the 4 Christmas card designs from my Christmas in July card class earlier this month.
Foxy Friends bundle combines cuteness on steroids with amazing versatility! I've never been a big punch art fan–I mean, I like it. I think it's cute. But it's too fussy for me. I'm a quick and easy crafter. Foxy Friends bundle addresses my dilemma of really liking something that can be time-consuming by bringing it into the quick and easy realm. It's as easy as stamping and punching. The little fox can become a raccoon, a kitty cat, a skunk, and a reindeer with NO effort! The cuteness factor is seriously maxed out. These little critters just make you want to ooh and aah when you see them. They are adorable. Score! Not only is there versatility in the animals you can create (there are tons more besides the four I mentioned–just check Pinterest:), but they can be used very effectively in baby cards, kids cards, birthday cards, Christmas cards…just about any and every occ asion. That is a LOT of versatility from one stamp set and one punch. And I haven't even begun on the little treats and bags and 3D items you can create with Foxy Friends Bundle. Okay, enough kudos for the products. Let's get onto today's project.
I went with a very traditional Christmas palette of colors for my Christmas card using This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper. It's specialty paper because it is lighter and thinner than our regular DSP making it a natural to shape and form into decorations, 3D projects, and even gift wrap. There are 24 sheets–double our usual DSP–for just $13, so you can make a LOT of cards and other holiday projects very affordably. One of the best designs in the stack is the sheet music! I love it! The DSP colors are Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, and Basic Black.
What do you think of the tiny bow tie I made??!!! I thought it turned out very cute! I just used the Real Red 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon and tied it very tightly. The ribbon has a lovely "hand" meaning it feels soft and rich when you touch it. It ties like a dream!
Since there are no words in the Foxy Friends stamp set, I went to the Oh, What Fun stamp set for all 4 designs we made in my Christmas in July class. It's a full stamp set of Christmas greetings and I highly recommend it for not only Christmas cards but also fun little Christmas gifties, tags, and more. The stamp set was originally introduced as part of a Christmas tags kit in the Holiday Catalog. But its versatility goes way beyond that, earning it a place in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.
That's it for today. As always, the Stampin' Up! supplies are shown and linked below for your convenience. Thanks so very much for stopping by!
