I love to make a card that looks great in both landscape and portrait orientation, and that is what I did with these 2 quick and easy cards using Flourishing Phrases stamp set (a must for sending "caring cards"–the ones that convey heartfelt thoughts, sympathy, and healing prayers) and coordinating Flourish Thinlit Dies.
All supplies used are in the Stampin' Up! annual catalog (with the exception of the Grapefruit Grove Foil Sheet that was free during Sale-a-Bration. You could easily substitute that for Copper Foil Sheet or Champagne Foil Sheet.)
Here are a few things I had in mind when creating these cards:
- I love the phrase "with warmth & caring from me" because it covers a lot of ground in the caring department. When someone is going through any kind of difficult season or rough patch, this phrase is perfect.
- Leaves seem to always bring a calming effect and are perfect for any type of caring card.
- Mint Macaron also evokes a calm sense. Here, I paired it with Shaded Spruce for a largely monochromatic color scheme.
These layouts are easy to reproduce. You could make this same card in several colors and Designer Series Papers. I love having a stash of caring cards on hand so I'm prepared to send some caring mail to those I encounter who need a lift.
All Stampin' Up! supplies are listed and linked below for your convenience. Get them while you can as a new Stampin' Up! annual catalog comes out in June, and some of these items may retire!
These are perfectly lovely ‘caring’ cards. Great color combination.
