Flourishing Phrases rubberstamp set

Flourishing Phrases rubberstamp set in the annual (big!) Stampin' Up! catalog is a treasure trove of meaningful words and phrases in lovely fonts plus a few classic images.  I created this pair of cards for an event I was hosting (I host rather a lot of live events:)

flourishingphrasesrubberstampsetstampinupcandyrattrayFor this pair of cards, I added Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.  It evokes images of classic fine china with its navy and white patterns, so I chose to add minimal embellishments to let the Flourishing Phrases rubberstamp set and Floral Boutique DSP take center stage without distraction.  I added some Tip Top Tape to one of the cards for a little variety, but that is a neutral so the focal images remained the same.

Both cards use a portrait orientation with a 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 card base and a 5-1/4 x 2 piece of DSP, and a single strand of Night of Navy Bakers Twine.  From that starting point, you can go lots of places!

While we are in the midst of the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog season, there are still some GREAT things in the annual catalog.  Flourishing Phrases rubberstamp set is a classic and one that I highly recommend for your crafty collection.  There is a coordinating set of dies that are truly gorgeous and work seamlessly with Flourishing Phrases rubberstamp set.  But the stamp set will also stand alone very capably as shown here:)
