Fall Shaker Card

Shaker cards are so much fun, and this one is simple, quick, and really gorgeous because of my favorite Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog item– Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper.  That paper adds sparkle and shine in perfect amounts, and I love it!!!  Honestly, all the Stampin' Up! glimmer papers are outstanding as they don't shred or lose all their glitter like the ones you get at the big box stores.  Yes, when you cut it, you will get some glitter on you.  But that's it.  The glitter stays in tact once it's cut. The sparkle and shine are unmatched.  So get some!

This is one of the cards we made at my recent Training Event. My Training Events are aimed at demonstrators but open to all stampers.  They are a full day of stamping.  At the October 1 event, we made 16 projects.  Wow and wow!  Loads of fun!  Save the date for my next one:  January 14th.

Shaker Card-Stampin' Up!Okay, back to my fall shaker card.  It's actually very simple to make–made easier than ever by the Adhesive Strips in the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up! Catalog.  They are so easy to use!  Each of the attendees to my Training Event received a full package of these in their swag bag.  They used them on this shaker card and then had plenty to take home for more creative play.

You can fill shaker cards with all sorts of things like sequins and beads, but I went super simple with homemade confetti made with the Fringe Scissors.  OMG.  Talk about quick and easy!  I simply took some scraps of Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, and Old Olive card stock and cut two ways with the Fringe Scissors.  Voila!  In just seconds you have confetti in custom colors.

Before I leave you today, I just want to make one more plug for the Stampin' Up! Glimmer Papers.  They now come in 5 awesome colors, and you need to get some!

  1. Silver Glimmer Paper
  2. Gold Glimmer Paper
  3. Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper
  4. Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper
  5. Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  All Stampin' Up! supplies are listed and linked below.  I hope you're inspired by my fall shaker card!
