Fa-la-la-la Friends is one of many stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog that coordinate with things I already got with the new annual Stampin' Up! catalog when it released in June. I shared another Christmas card featuring this same stamp set here. Gotta love that llama! For today's share, I'm featuring Baby Bear. At least that's what I call him! Although I used the Fa-la-la-la Friends stamp set, I also used the Bear Hugs framelits which I already had. This is what I mean about being able to use things I already have–great versatility and getting extra mileage out of my crafting supplies:) I'm a practical, rather frugal girl, so I love it when I can get lots of mileage out of a single product. You can see another card I made with the Bear Hugs framelits here. That is a mother's day card I made for my daughter. And today's share is a Christmas card using the same framelits. See what I mean about versatility and lots of mileage???!!!
Okay, onto today's card. This little bear is just so cute! And I can just stamp him, cut him out with the Bear Hugs framelits, add a tiny touch of color, and he's done! Quick, easy, boom! That's the way I stamp.
Although I used a number of things already in my stamp room, there are several new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog items. They are pictured and linked below, but here's a list of just the Holiday Catalog items and why I love them!
- Fa-la-la-la Friends stamp set–cute, whimsical, fun! It coordinates with TWO frame lit sets I already own–Bear Hugs Framelits (to cut out the large and small bears plus the fish) and Fiesta Time Framelits (to cut out the llama). I'm not a fan of fussy-cutting, so I love that I can stamp and cut out quickly! Plus there are very cute sayings!
- Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper–my favorite DSP in the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog!
- Real Red 3/4" Stitched Edge Ribbon–lush ribbon that is easy to tie. You can dress it up or down. I think that the sweet edging is a bit reminiscent of a baby blanket, so it works perfectly with my baby bear:)
This is the kind of card I would send anytime from November 1 – December 31st. Although I could use it as a Christmas card, I would use it as a sweet card to send to anyone–male or female–during the holiday season. The Christmas season is a season for sharing and giving like no other. Make some cute cards like this and send them out to share your love! Let people know you care. And then wow them by sending them a handmade Christmas card, too! If you love making cards, you need to love sending them and sharing your love and creativity. It's what we do:) Everything I used on this card is pictured and linked below. Let me know if you have any questions!
