My rubberstamp club in San Antonio meets each month, and members can make scrapbook pages or cards. Today's share is the August 12 x 12 scrapbook layout for the scrapbookers. The colors, derived from the bold and modern Best Route Designer Series Paper, are clear and clean. That dictated the rest of the 12 x 12 layout with regard to elements and embellishments. It's a little outside my normal, but I like challenging myself!
Although Enjoy Life stamp set is not the one from the Best Route Suite, it coordinates beautifully IMHO. I love all the sayings in this must-have stamp set. "Wake up, kick butt, repeat" fits so many projects!
My scrapbook style is like my card-making style: quick and easy! Let me point out just a few things in my Enjoy Life Scrapbook Pages that make them come together in just minutes with plenty of modern style:
- I balanced bold squares and rectangles with the beautiful Stitched Seasons tags, layered, for a bit of welcome roundedness. Stitched Seasons framelit dies are perfect for scrapbooking. My other curvy element is the cloud image. I used just a few.
- Titles don't have to be large when scrapbooking. I adore the "Wake up, kick butt, repeat" words in Enjoy Life. By putting them at the top of my 12 x 12 layout, the theme of my pages is clear, but it doesn't dominate.
- I'm not sure if it shows up in my photo, but the navy blue squares are actually Best Route Designer Series Paper–not Night of Navy Card Stock. They have a subtle pattern and make for a really nice element that holds up well with repetition.
