Welcome, welcome to the June installment of Kylie & Bruno's Training Program Blog Hop! I've been enormously blessed to be part of the training group this year as a trainer–what a huge honor! I've loved being part of this group and partaking of the AWESOME training provided by Kylie, Bruno, and an awesome group of top Stampin' Up! demonstrators they have gathered to help us in very practical ways. We all want to move our businesses forward, and learning from each other makes a big difference.
Any participant in the group gets the opportunity to join this monthly blog hop, so here I am with an Eclectic Garden Fun Fold Card Idea.
Eclectic Garden stamp set made its debut in the January-June Mini Catalog this year and caught my eye on my first pass through the book. I love gardening images and am also a big-time foodie. Fruits and vegetables are fabulous art images, and I have a real penchant for still life art. But I digress…that is for another day:)
My Eclectic Garden Fun Fold Card is perfect for any level crafter–beginner to avid. Let me share a few points about my Eclectic Garden Fun Fold Card that make it work:
- The fold! This accordion style book fold is a bit unexpected and fun:)
- The Designer Series Paper! DSP is my favorite design element for card-making next to actual stamps. I love it and using it in a fun-fold just makes everything about my card special:) The woodland images in Happy Forest Friends are super versatile, and the mushrooms on the inside of this fun fold card are a perfect pairing with the garden images of Eclectic Garden.
- By stamping my image with a colored ink and then using Blends to color them in (vs. using a black ink outline), I get a more artistic look.
- By putting a die-cut on the inside of my card to write my message, I add interest and also create just a small space for writing to keep it quick!
