Today' share is one of two card I created for my Online Club where members order a few Stampin' Blends each month and learn to use them. They get free Make & Take packets by mail plus project tutorials (pdf's and videos). This month was all about creating a natural look through blending and shading.
My bird card uses a variety of Stampin' Blends. I love using Smoky Slate Combo Pack (2 markers, one light and one dark) plus the Bronze Lifter which is a brown tone and works with so many other colors to create warm tones.
Color Me Happy is a cute, versatile stamp set that was launched in conjunction with Stampin' Blends. It's available as a bundle (10% off!) with the Color Me Happy project kit. That's where I got all the elements for today's card:
- colored card base
- gorgeous, coordinating envelope
- white twine
- gold foil starburst
- colored, iridescent sequins
- white cardstock
My handmade card is my own rendition of the one Stampin' Up! made. I wanted more realistic looking birds, so it was the perfect opportunity to create a different look and then teach my club members the way I blended different colors for a natural look.

Those birds looks beautiful! Love the way you used the Blends.
Thanks Diane! I’m loving the Blends! So easy to use and no fancy classes necessary:)
