I used Charming Day Bundle only for this soft, soothing sympathy card–one of 5 cards for Saturday Card Class in San Antonio and also featured in the video below. I love showcasing versatility, and this Stampin’ Up! sympathy card uses just the bundle–nothing else from the suite–and a totally different color scheme.
Here are a few things that make my handmade sympathy card work:
- A combination of blues make this card have a soothing vibe. Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, and Lost Lagoon are a beautiful trio of blues!
- The Crumb Cake Cardstock circle helps all the blues come together by giving just a bit of neutral contrast.
- Lost Lagoon Cording brings a tiny bit of shine as well as needed texture.
- I love the little brass Dragonflies & Birds embellishment. Anything that points to the sky is a typical feature of my handmade sympathy card designs. It helps us look up when we need comfort.
- I pulled in a sympathy greeting from the classic Loveliest Tree. But I think this design would work with just about any greeting!
