We had so much fun on World Cardmaking Day (#wcmd2020)! I hosted an all-day virtual event with live stamping demonstrations every hour plus pdf inspiration sheets or tutorials for each card. Free creative inspiration and fun! I'm so proud of my team. We had an excellent variety of stamping styles, degree of experience needed to copy, and stamp sets. I took a #simplestamping card featuring Walk in the Woods and then stepped it up just a bit.
#simplestamping concentrates on the main elements of cardmaking, STAMPS, INK, and PAPER. Then we add a little something, or not. I love working with Watercolor Pencils and used them here for a soft woodland look. I used the masking technique to place the cute little hedgehog so he is coming out from underneath the mushrooms. I think he is super cute! This card is perfect for new stampers. It's a beginner card but looks much more advanced. Such is the magic of a simple technique and the watercolor pencils:)
I've shown you my original card for comparison. I stepped up by adding DSP and a little cardstock flag. Those are the only changes I made. Easy peasy! And I actually like both versions. Click here for my free pdf tutorial.
