I'm continuing my quick, daily blog posts sharing projects highlighting the Stampin' Up! Retiring List. Today, I'm sharing another card using the same 2 stamp sets in the card I featured yesterday: By the Tide and A Dozen Thoughts. This is another of the cards we made at my monthly card class (recurs on the First Monday of each month) and I was very much inspired by a similar card by my East Coast Bestie Jen Pitta. Check out her original card here at bytheshorestamping.com–just scroll down a bit and you will see it plus another great card using By the Tide! Jen is an amazing stamper and scrapper and living on the East Coast, literally…well I think she rocks By the Tide designs:)
On Jen's original card, she used seam binding and tied it in a knot. I used the twine from the burlap ribbon and tied it into a bow. Bows or no bows on a masculine card? Well, my hubby often wears a bow tie, so I would give this to plenty of guys in my life. But if the bow doesn't fit the gents in your life, just tie a knot instead. Voila. You have a truly masculine card!
Okay, it's time for our daily game: can you spot the retiring items in my card? I spy with my little eye:
- By the Tide stamp set
- A Dozen Thoughts stamp set
- Lost Lagoon ink
- Lost Lagoon card stock
- 2-1/2 " Circle Punch
- Burlap Ribbon
- Bitty Banners Framelit Dies
Thanks so much for popping by!
