Hello there! I'm continuing my retiring list parade of projects. For today's post I'm featuring the Mother's Day card I made for my daughter using the Bear Hugs Bundle by Stampin' Up! Although the Bear Hugs stamps and coordinating framelits are in the new big annual Stampin' Up! Catalog, the bundle is not. That means you have until May 31st to get both items at a 15% savings.
I had so much fun making this card for my Tiffany! And when she opened the envelope and gasped with delight saying, "That's my family!" I knew I had hit my mark. Bear Hugs Bundle allows me to create a family of any size–however big or small–with darling little bears. I was able to make a mama bear and papa bear plus 3 little bears–2 girls and a boy. I love the ability to customize, and this sweet bundle is just the ticket for a host of creative, customized options.
I used the April Paper Pumpkin kit stamps for the greeting and the grass cut out from the same kit. That is the same piece used as a vine on the wreath from the Paper Pumpkin kit. Talk about versatility! And I love the fact that I ALWAYS have lots of leftover creative bits and pieces–plus stamps-from my Paper Pumpkin kits. The other piece I used from my creative pile of stuff is the background paper–it's the Artistic paper from Sale-a-Bration. Its soft watercolor wash was the perfect sky background for my Mother's Day card. As I said, this was a fun card to build and then put together.
