I really love the versatility, style, and substance of the Badges & Banners Bundle by Stampin' Up! It's a prime example of the incredible product coordination that is at the center of why we love Stampin' Up! They make it easy for us to create beautiful things quickly and easily! I created 5 different cards to showcase this awesome bundle for a recent training event aka stamp camp in San Antonio. For today's card I used just the Badges & Banners stamp set–not the punch–and featured one of the new 2016-2018 In Colors, Sweet Sugarplum. I love the way Sweet Sugarplum pairs with Rich Razzleberry. You can see other examples of that color combo here and here on my sweetstamper blog.
The other Badges & Banners Bundle cards I have posted are a baby card here, masculine birthday card here, and hello cards here. So this is the 4th one I have featured here on my sweetstamper blog. I hope you are creatively inspired by that. Seriously, I think everyone should own this bundle!
Isn't it just genius that the Stampin' Up! artists took that little badge and turned it over to make a bird cage??!!! Talk about thinking outside the box! I love it! That is the one item on this card that is not straight forward since I used 2 different ink colors on this one stamp. The easy way for that to happen since I only have a little Sweet Sugarplum and lots of Basic Gray is to ink up the stamp in Basic Gray, remove the gray ink from the bird with a Blender Pen, and then to add Sweet Sugarplum ink to the bird with a Stampin' Write Marker. It only takes a minute and really elevates the image.
That's it for today. As always, the Stampin' Up! supplies are listed and linked below. Let me know if you have any questions at all, and I hope you decide to recreate my Sweet Sugarplum birdie card!
