Thailand Achievers Blog Hop-July

Thailand Blog HopWelcome to the July installment of the Thailand Achievers Blog Hop where demonstrators from all over the world share their highlights of an amazing trip.   You have arrived at Candy Rattray, sweetstamper.com, and I'm delighted you're here!  The full line of demonstrators on this hop is at the bottom of today's post.  So if you get lost at any point or need to figure out where you are, just scroll down.  And make sure youmovemestampinupcandyrattray to visit all the blog posts as you will see lots of highlights as well as creative inspiration via our swapping projects and amazing beauty from the trip.

I am blessed beyond measure to have earned this trip.  I've never travelled to the Far East, so there were LOTS of firsts on this trip.  First up, I'll share my swaps.  I participated in both the card swap and the 3D swap.  That means I have come home with 25 new cards and 25 new 3D items = tons of ideas and fresh inspiration!

My swap card features the You Move Me Bundle–which I am in love with!  It is so versatile, and there are loads of lovely images.  I opted to use just the framelits and stamps–not the moving parts.  And I wanted to go with a tropical look since this was for the Thailand trip.  I hope you like it!  All the products used are listed and linked below.  But this is a Stamps, Ink, and Paper card with one small embellishment only–Whisper White Bakers Twine.  Simple stamping fun!

This is my 3D swap–a simple lollipop with some little extras to make it special.  I was so blessed to be able to use the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set since it's the Ronald McDonald House stamp set for this year (a portion of the proceeds are donated to RMH charities–such a worthy cause!).

I made a tiny envelope with the Envelope Punch Board and a 4" x 4" piece of card stock.  I then added some simple stamping and that scrummy new Rich Razzleberry Stitched Edge Ribbon.  Inside is a very yummy Paleton (caramelized goat's milk from Mexico on a stick!)  At just 60 calories, they are an almost guilt-free sweet treat:)

Both my swaps were made with color schemes derived from my favorite new tool produced by Stampin' Up, this FREE In Color Combinations Chart.  I have 2 in my Studio so they are always handy, and I have used them constantly.  Please download and print!

For me, the Thailand Incentive Trip was a fantastic time to visit with some of my stamping friends, get spoiled with gifts and treats by Stampin' Up!, and bask in the natural beauty of Thailand.

That's it for me today.  You will see lots of pics of Thailand from other demonstrators.  As I write this, I am still in the Far East as my husband and I left Thailand and flew to Singapore for 10 days of ministry.  It's been such a special time of Bible teaching and fellowshipping with leaders and churches in both Singapore and Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia) and reconnecting with some of our longtime pastor friends.  All this happened as a result of my earning the incentive trip.  Talk about the icing on the cake!  My husband Buddy Rattray is the pastor of Tower City Church in San Antonio, TX and this trip brought my two great loves together:  stamping and church.  My heart is full…and overflowing!

Thanks so very much for stopping by and letting me share a bit of creativity with you as well as highlights from my trip.  I'm still sharing pics of the trip on my Facebook feed, so hop over there to see more of my trip to Singapore and Malaysia:)  You are now leaving Candy Rattray, sweets tamper.com and continuing on with the Thailand Achievers Blog Hop for July.  Be sure to stop at each link for creative inspiration and Thailand highlights galore!
